The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today again rejected the bail application of Sugeeshwara Bandara, who served as a personal secretary to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and is accused of receiving two salaries under the presidential expenditure head.
Accordingly, the Magistrate has ordered the remand of the accused Sugeeshwara Bandara until the 23rd. The Central Judicial Division of the Police has submitted a further report and informed the court that the suspect has committed an offense punishable under the Public Property Act and the Sri Lanka Penal Code.
