BBC Sinhala Service reports that Sri Lanka’s tallest person has been found in Mullaitivu district.
Gunasingham Kasendhiran, a former member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) living in Pudukudiruppu Kaiveli, is seven feet two inches tall.
He says that he has to face many problems because of his unusual height. He mentions that he could not find shoes that fit the length of his feet anywhere in Sri Lanka and had to bring them from foreign countries.
Kasendhiran, a father of two children, says that if he does not get a seat in a bus, he cannot travel there and if he is traveling in a long-distance bus, he has to book a seat in advance.
He si a threewhler driver by profession. Kasendhiran has to bend his neck to drive his tricycle threewhler.
