Senesh Bandara Dissanayake has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupawahini Corporation. He is a lecturer at the University of Colombo and was appointed to the position after Anura Kumara Dissanayake became President last September.
Although no specific reason has been reported for the chairman’s resignation, social media is reporting that the most likely reason was the broadcast of a news story about Lenchina, who appears in the Salupaliya dance, on television.
