Rita Manella, the Italian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, has announced that Sri Lankans working in Italy will be allowed to use their valid driver’s licenses in the country. This agreement was expressed in a discussion held with the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constitutional Reform Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa.
According to the report, the minister has expressed that agreement according to a request made by the Italian ambassador to take necessary steps to avoid the difficulty of obtaining international driver’s licenses, which has been a problem for hundreds of thousands of Sri Lankans working in Italy.
