Sri Lanka A’s first innings was declared on the second day of the second four-day match against Australia ‘A’ after a brilliant performance, scoring 485 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Building on the century scored by Nuwanidu Fernando on the first day, Pawan Ratnayake also scored a brilliant century. A brilliant partnership of 170 runs for the 5th wicket by Pawan and Sonal Dinusha, as well as a superb half-century by wicketkeeper-batsman Sohan de Livera, helped Sri Lanka to a crucial position.
In reply, Australia ‘A’ ended the second day at 76 runs for one wicket.
