The Welfare Benefits Board says that all arrangements have been made to credit the May allowances of the beneficiaries of Aswasuma above the age of 70 to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries tomorrow (29).
Accordingly, the government is scheduled to release an amount of three hundred forty nine crores and thirty nine lakhs and fifteen thousand (3,493,915,000.00) for nearly 700,000 elderly people who qualified under the first and second phases of ‘Aswasuma’.
The benefit amount has been allocated as follows according to the AA phase.
Phase One – An amount of Rs. 3,125,600,000.00 for 625,128 elderly beneficiaries above the age of 70.
Second Phase – Rs. 368,315,000.00 for 73,663 elderly beneficiaries above the age of 70.
