South Africa qualifies for the finals

The South African team managed to enter the finals of the Twenty20 World Cup cricket tournament, which is being co-hosted by the United States and India. In the first semi-final, they lost to Afghanistan by 9 wickets.

Despite the loss of Quinton de Kock for 5 runs, the presence of Riza Hendricks (29 not out) and skipper Aiden Markram (23 not out) saw South Africa post 60 for one in 8.5 overs to win the match.

The second semi-final is scheduled to be played between India and England and the winners of that match will be South Africa in the final group.
