The Panadura Magistrate’s Court today (18) ordered renowned singer Chamara Ranawaka to pay a fine of Rs. 20,000 for riding a motorcycle with two other people without wearing a protective helmet.
He was arrested by the Panadura North Police on charges of riding an unsafe motorcycle and was produced before the court today and was fined after pleading guilty.
A video showing Chamara Ranawaka and three others illegally riding a motorcycle without protective helmets had become very popular on social media in recent days. The Panadura North Police, acting on the video, arrested him.
