The current government has put the future of the country’s farmers, fishermen and workers in danger with its actions so far, says MP Namal Rajapaksa.
He said that the government’s foolish decision to close the Shrama Vasana Fund, which was started especially for the welfare of workers when his father was the Minister of Labor, is a serious attack on the entire working class of the country.
The MP said that this institution is being closed by spreading false information that it is making losses and expressed his strong opposition to the government in this regard.
He also said that it is unfortunate for the nation to baselessly liquidate such national resources created by the Rajapaksa family instead of bequeathing them to future generations.
The MP further said that he wishes the current government, which is taking revenge on such national institutions, a speedy recovery.
