The Ministry of Education has announced that schools will reopen islandwide on December 16th for the final phase of the third school term.
Speaking at a special media briefing, Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Nalaka Kaluwewa stated that schools were initially planned to reopen on December 8th.
However, the decision has been revised due to the disaster situation affecting the island.
