Former Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and Senior Advisor to the former Prime Minister, Charitha Ratwatte, has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
He has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the import of 50 temporary paddy warehouses through the State Commercial Miscellaneous Corporation in 2015, spending over Rs. 90 million, outside the prescribed procedure.
