A statement issued by the Department of Meteorology states that thundershowers are likely to occur in many areas of the island this evening (03).
According to the statement, in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North-Central and Eastern provinces, some places may experience fairly heavy rains exceeding 75 mm.
The Department of Meteorology requests that necessary measures be taken to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thundershowers.
