Agriculture Minister K.D. Lal Kantha said that farmers shuld provided a share of the paddy harvest to the government if they receive fertilizer subsidy by the public money .
He also states that the irrigation water required for farming is provided not by the mill owners but by the tax money of the people of this country.
He says that when the Paddy Marketing Board tries to do something for the people, the farmers who have received fertilizer subsidies and irrigation subsidies from the public money also have a responsibility towards the society.
He further stated that although no such decision has been taken yet, the discussion is currently underway.
