Presidential candidates accused of tax fraud

Dilith Jayaweera, the leader of the People’s Party of Sarvajana Power presidential candidate Mawbime, said that he felt sad when he saw the monthly income of the presidential candidates contesting this year’s presidential election.

He also claims that it is surprising that they are living at a cost that the common people cannot afford to live. He alleged that all those people are part of a black economy and that none of those people have paid a copper penny as income tax.

He claims that whether they are in Pelawatte, Colombo Hatta or Pitakott, all those people are thieves who are part of the black economy.

He further said that Ranil Wickremesinghe will be given a gratuity for his living after he retires from the presidency.

He said this while addressing a public rally held in Anuradhapura Kad Panaha for the upcoming presidential election.
