President Anura Kumara Dissanayake paid his last respects to the late Venerable Anamaduwe Dhammadassi Thero, the Anunayake of the Asgiri Chapter and Chief Incumbent of the Kurunegala Ethkanda Raja Maha Viharaya.
The President paid his last respects last night (22) at the Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita Maha Na Thero Memorial Hall of the Asgiri Maha Viharaya, where his remains are kept for public viewing.
Afterwards, he interacted with the Anunayake of the Malwatta Chapter, Venerable Niyangoda Wijithasiri Thero, Senior Committee Member of the Asgiri Chapter, Chief Incumbent of the Badulu Muthiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya, Dr. Muruddeniye Dhammarathana Thero, Registrar of the Asgiri Chapter, Venerable Medagama Dhammananda Thero and other members of the Maha Sangha.
Central Province Chief Secretary Ajith Premawansa, Kandy District Secretary Indika Udawatte, Kandy Municipal Commissioner Indika Abeysinghe also joined the occasion.
