President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to visit the United States of America on September 22 to attend the United Nations General Assembly session.
During the visit, the President is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with several heads of state and government officials and is also scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
After concluding his engagements in the United States, President Dissanayake will embark on a state visit to Japan on September 26 at the invitation of the Japanese government, where he will attend the International Trade Fair and hold discussions with senior Japanese officials.
