President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and his entourage, who left the country to attend the World Government Summit (WGS)-2025 to be held in Dubai from February 11 to 13, arrived at the Dubai International Airport yesterday (10) afternoon.
The President and his entourage were warmly welcomed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Seyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, and state representatives.
The reception was also attended by the Acting Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Taxila Arnolda, Sri Lankan Consul General for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Alexi Gunasekara, and a group of representatives from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Dubai.
This afternoon, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to meet with Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, CEO of Master Investment Group and nephew of the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
The meeting will focus on strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
The President is then scheduled to attend the ‘TIME 100 Gala Dinner’ at the famous Future Museum in Dubai.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath is also accompanying the President on this visit.
