The Court of Appeal has ordered that the writ petition filed by former Deputy Secretary General of Parliament Chaminda Kularatne, challenging the Speaker’s decision to suspend his services, be called up on the 18th for consideration.
Petitioner Chaminda Kularatne has requested the court to issue a writ order nullifying the decision to suspend him without any fair investigation.
The petition was taken up before the Court of Appeal’s President, Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando today (03), and petitioner Chaminda Kularatne also appeared before the court at that time.
