Passport office resumes operations.

The Department of Immigration and Emigration says that the computer data system of the Department of Immigration and Emigration, which crashed yesterday (12), has been completely corrected by today (13).

Due to the disruption, the issuance of passports and visas was suspended yesterday. The department initially expected that the disruption would be rectified and services would resume on Monday the 16th. Accordingly, the Department of Immigration and Emigration has advised the public not to come to avail services today.

However, the department has requested the public to call the hotline number 1962 before visiting the department in person.
