Further escalating the controversy surrounding the PhD held by Speaker Ashoka Ranwala, his PhD has been removed from the Parliament website.
His biographical notes stated that he obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a PhD in Biochemistry from Waseda University.
However, the Parliament website has now removed the word “Dr.” from his name.
