Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon has instructed the Senior Superintendents of Police in charge of all divisions to implement a special security program for Christian churches for the occasions when Easter services are held.
Accordingly, this special security program is going to be implemented for the upcoming Good Friday on the 29th and Easter Sunday services on the 31st.
Also, it has been advised to select the churches where devotees visit more and go to them to personally investigate the security measures related to the services conducted for the Easter festival.
