A tense situation arose this morning (13) after two wild elephants stormed Valachchena town in Batticaloa. One woman died in the attack by the two wild elephants. Four others were injured.
The deceased woman was 68 years old and was attacked by the wild elephant while she was selling food. It is also reported that the three injured in the attack have also sustained serious injuries.
