A person has died in a shooting incident that occurred in the Gnanarathana Mawatha area, Peliyagoda this morning (19). It is reported that the attack was carried out by two unidentified gunmen.
Police have confirmed that the deceased was an employee of the Peliyagoda Fish Market Complex. Another person was injured in the attack by gunfire. Peliyagoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
The two injured persons were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, where one of them has died, hospital sources said.
