State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that the budget is only a pre-forecast, and the government has not reserved the money allocated for an election even though the court has given an order. Speaking in a discussion with a radio channel, he said as follows.
“Currently, the limited cash flow received by the government is being spent only under essential lines such as public employee salaries, pensions, prosperity allowances, health. If that line-up is changed to something else, there is a risk of another era of queuing.”
