No final agreement on education reforms yet

Leader of the House, Minister Bimal Ratnayake stated in Parliament today (23) that no final draft or specific proposal has been prepared regarding education reforms.

The Minister stated this in response to a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa regarding the debate to be held in Parliament tomorrow (24) on education reforms.

The Minister said that the ‘Power Point’ presentation presented by the Education Minister is a presentation or other document and that discussions are currently underway regarding education reforms.

He emphasized that education reforms should be prepared based on the views of education experts, subject experts and various social groups.
