Nine agreements are signed between Sri Lanka and China

Yesterday, nine new agreements were signed between China and Sri Lanka. These agreements were signed during the meeting between Chinese Prime Minister Li Chiang and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

The Sri Lankan Prime Minister paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the People’s Heroes Monument in Tiananmen Square, and after receiving the courtesy call from the Chinese Army, bilateral talks began.

In addition to economic cooperation, the bilateral talks held at the Beijing Great Hall focused on enhancing overall cooperation in social, cultural, educational and agricultural fields.

The Prime Minister’s Secretary Anura Dissanayake signed the agreements on behalf of Sri Lanka and the secretaries of nine ministries signed on behalf of China.
