Netanyahu, who destroyed Lebanon, agrees to talks .

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he is willing to talk with Lebanon after Israel carried out a series of horrific airstrikes on civilian and commercial targets in Lebanon on Wednesday night, killing 265 people.

Foreign media reports that Netanyahu said he is ready to start direct talks with Lebanon as soon as possible and that he gave the cabinet an order yesterday.

Meanwhile, peace talks between Iran and the United States to end the Gulf War are scheduled to begin today in Pakistan. Israel has said that it agrees to these talks, but that these talks will not be a reason to stop operations against Hezbollah militants in Lebanon.
