A spokesperson for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) said that the National Organizer of the SLPP, Member of Parliament, Attorney-at-Law Namal Rajapaksa, who is in remand custody, expects to participate in the parliamentary sessions during the parliamentary week starting tomorrow.
Accordingly, it is reported that Namal Rajapaksa will write a letter to the General Secretary, Attorney-at-Law Kushani Rohanadeera tomorrow, requesting the necessary facilities for that.
Accordingly, Namal Rajapaksa will have the opportunity to participate in the parliamentary sessions scheduled to be held from Tuesday (08) to the 11th, a spokesperson for the SLPP said.
Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested in connection with an incident in which he allegedly received a bribe in the Airbus deal, has been ordered to be remanded until the 18th by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama.
