Harini received highest preferential votes.

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya managed to get the highest number of preferential votes received by a candidate in a parliamentary election in Sri Lanka.

She competed in the Colombo district as a candidate of the National People’s Power and won the first place in the Colombo district by getting 655,289 votes. The New Democratic Front and Podujana Peramuna do not have a seat in Kolaba district.
