Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa held a meeting with the Government Medical Officers Association today. Speaking to the media afterwards, he said that the 2026 budget proposals should have been prepared after discussing with the relevant authorities.
He further said, “The budget should have been prepared considering all sectors, not just the needs of those with political connections. This government has not yet been able to fulfill the promises made in the previous budget proposals. Due to lack of proper management, there may be a shortage of medical staff in the future. ”
