It is reported that her mother has filed a complaint with the Piliyandala Police that the death of veteran model Chula Padmendra Kumarapathirana is suspicious.
After a function she had organised at a hotel in Battaramulla, she had arrived at her house on Gangaramaya Road in Piliyandala with her close friend yesterday (31) morning. The house is owned by a prominent businessman and she was found dead in the house, police said.
The businessman had tried to wake her up while she was sleeping on her back, but when she did not respond, he called the 1990 Suva Sariya Ambulance Service after seeing blood on the bed.
Later, when they arrived, it was revealed that she had died, and the businessman had subsequently informed the Piliyandala Police about this.
