Reverend Valahangunavewe Dhammarathana Thero, Mihintalea Rajamaha Viharaya, said that he is ready to lead in the upcoming elections. Speaking to the media, he further said:
“No politician currently in politics has the moral right to come before the people and ask for their votes. If the next election comes, we will give leadership. There are no such leaders called leaders of the country. He has been entrusted to rule this country for 5 years. They are not the leaders, we are the leaders, the clergy.”
