Rauf Hakeem, the leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, said that Sri Lankan workers who are sent to Israel for foreign jobs are being given military training there. He said this today while presenting facts before the Parliament.
He mentioned that Sri Lankan workers have been stationed in the areas occupied by Israel since the beginning of the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and he mentioned that reports are being received that military training will continue.
However, Labor and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara strongly rejected Rauf Hakeem’s statement while stating against the accusation. He said that Sri Lankans will not be given military training and said that diplomatic relations should not be disturbed through irresponsible statements.
