A man who fell from a multi-storey building of the Kandy General Hospital and was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries has died. The deceased is a 71-year-old resident of the Harispattu area.
The accident occurred yesterday (12) evening and an investigation has been initiated based on information received by the Kandy Police in this regard.
Police say that the investigation revealed that the man had fallen from the 3rd floor of the building while he was painting the hospital buildings on a contract basis. The body has been deposited at the Kandy Hospital morgue and the Kandy Police are investigating the incident.
