Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s wife Maithri Wickremesinghe has been summoned to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department to determine whether she committed any financial crimes during her controversial visit to Britain.
The summons was issued through the Kollupitiya Police to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department on February 20.
This was stated by Additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General’s Department Dileepa Peiris when he was summoned to court today (18) to announce the bail order of former Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake.
