The rally was organized by the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industry, Mahinda Amaraweera, under the theme of Going Forward Together – Winning the Country. was held at Ambanathota yesterday.
Addressing the rally, Sri Lanka National Party Acting Chairman, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala said that the next president in the September presidential election will be the candidate supported by the new alliance led by Sri Lanka National Party.
He said that President Ranil Wickramasinghe has laid the basic foundation to make the bankrupt country into a developed country in 2022 even though it has gradually moved forward through obstacles.
Addressing the rally, Sri Lanka National Party Vice President, Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries Mahinda Amaraweera said that all the efforts made by former President Sirisena to link the Sri Lanka Freedom Party to the S.J.was failed.
He said that the MPs who joined Samagi Jana Balawega from Sri Lanka Freedam Party will be invited to rejoin the party.
The minister who commented further said that Sajith Premadasa hid in the Yala forest and Anura Kumara hid under the bed when former President Gotabaya invited him to take over the post of Prime Minister in 2022.
Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe said that the country has been brought to the right place today by accepting the challenge. He said that Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe has succeeded in bringing it to a new path.
Therefore, Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe must be given a new mandate to serve as President until 2030, he said.
