Agriculture Minister K. D. Lal Kantha said that he has strong social capital. Through it, he has the ability to raise money at any time.
He said this while participating in a discussion held on an online channel responding to the allegations made on social media regarding his new house and the alms offering held there.
He stated that he moved into the house in 2024 and that this house was built over a long period of time by combining two plots of land of 7 and 6 perches.
He said that what was held there recently was not a housewarming ceremony but an alms offering organized for his deceased parents.
He said that raising money is not much of a problem, and that if necessary, he has the ability to earn Rs. 50 million from a hundred people in a short period of time, such as a week, at a rate of Rs. 500,000 from each person, and that just one phone call is enough to do so.
