28 young couples at the mouth of the Kalu Ganga, on the beach and among the watkeia bushes has been arrested by South Kalutara Police.
It is reported that 12 lovers who were brought to the police were warned and released, and six 18-year-old students were released after being warned by their parents.
The police said that this action was taken to prevent various abuses happening in this area.
