Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to conduct a week-long training programme aimed at improving the power-hitting skills of its national men’s and women’s players. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has decided to engage the services of power-hitting expert Julian Wood for the training session.
The training session is scheduled to be held from July 30 to August 5, where Julian Wood will work closely with national coaches to help the players not only improve their power-hitting techniques but also improve their overall game.
Wood has previously worked with the England and Wales Cricket Board, the English county cricket associations of Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Middlesex, and several teams including Punjab Kings in the IPL.
This training session is part of Sri Lanka’s preparation program for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Asia Cup and other international competitions.
