It was wrong to arrest the drivers for the Fox Hill crash.

The Fox Hill Supercross Riders Association says that the arrest of two Drivers in connection with the accident that killed seven people at the Fox Hill Supercross tournament is unfair.

After the arrest of the two drivers of the two cars by the police last Monday (22) in connection with the accident that killed seven people, the Bandarawela Magistrate Court ordered them to be remanded until April 30.

They made these comments after a meeting where Supercross riders were called to discuss the future work in that regard.

Sajjaj Juher, patron of the Supercross Riders Association, said:

“It is the responsibility of the organizers to make the track safe and manage the spectators. Drivers can’t do anything about those things. All we have to do is get in the race car and ride the race.

Arresting drivers is very unfair. The police say they were arrest for disobeying the yellow flag. When we see the yellow flag, we have to control the speed. You can’t control the speed even if you show the flag at once. Previously, the red flag should have been used when the car overturned.

The car did not go off the road when it crashed. Cars collided on the track. It’s a mistake that the group was on the track. Apart from that, the drivers did not go out. We are very sorry for the loss of life. The drivers are not responsible for this. Those who did wrong take responsibility. Don’t blame others.”
