The National People’s Power (NPP) denies claims that a JVP member joined the Samagi Jana Balawega (SJB) during a meeting held in Polonnaruwa.
The leader of the N.P.P, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, says that the person is not a member of the J.V.P but a member of the SLFP.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake said this while attending a meeting held in Mannar . He further to said ”It is said that Hitihamila’s Saman Kumara, who submitted his nomination to compete in the Polonnaruwa Municipal Council’s Bandiwewa Division in the local government elections, is a SLFP candidate.
“You must have seen today that a JVP member went to SJB during a SJB rally in Polonnaruwa. This is making big news on television today. All the leaders of SJB happily hugged him. I know who he is. He is Hitihamilage Saman Kumara. He is from Bandiwewa Division of Polonnaruwa Municipality . He said that Saman Kumara, who submitted his nomination to contest from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, ”
