After signing a preliminary agreement to end the war, US and Iranian officials are reportedly in Switzerland for direct talks.
The preliminary agreement includes reaching a final peace agreement within a specified period of two months and ending hostilities against all regional countries, including Lebanon, as well as reopening the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping.
Foreign media reported that the delegation will include Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif representing Pakistan, Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asam Munir, and Vice President J.D. Vance representing the United States.
Foreign media also stated that the US-Iranian side will be the main party and representatives of Pakistan and Qatar will be involved as mediators.
Foreign media reports indicate that Iran will be represented in the talks by a group including the country’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
