SJB MP Kavinda Jayawardena says that he has filed a complaint against Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in London and the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Switzerland.
He says that these complaints were sent via email and that he has received replies to them. He also stated that he has submitted evidence relevant to the complaint.
Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena says that the complaint includes allegations such as disregarding standing orders, not allowing opposition members to express their views in parliament, and delaying the no-confidence motion brought against the Deputy Defense Minister without taking it up for debate.
