”Increase salaries” Stalin back in the fight

The Lanka Teachers’ Union says that if the promised salary increase in the budget proposal for 2025 is not achieved, it will have to resort to trade union action again. The general secretary of the union, Joseph Stalin, said this.

‘When these salaries are increased, they should be given from next January. Furthermore, out of the ten thousand rupees increased last year, government employees received five thousand rupees each in January, February and March, so the fifteen thousand rupees lost in that period should be given in next January,’ he said.
