Former Member of Parliament Hirunika Premachandra has submitted an appeal demanding that she be acquitted from the prison sentence.
This petition has been handed over to the Colombo High Court for referral to the Court of Appeal.
Mrs. Hirunika Premachandra has requested the Colombo High Court to release her on bail as she has filed an appeal against the decision given to her.
The related request will be considered before Colombo High Court Judge Amal Ranaraja on the 4th.
