Government will take steps to digitize the government hospital system and provide quality and efficient treatment services to the people of this country in a short period of time, says Health Minister and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
He said that the highest level of care and acceptance that can be provided to the sick citizen is expected to be provided through the hospital, and that the current government’s aim is to make the hospital a comfortable and close place for the citizen. He emphasized that by digitizing the entire government service, a very convenient and efficient service can be provided to the public.
The Minister said this while participating in a ceremony held to officially launch the Health Information Technology System at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Colombo and to obtain the standardization of the Histology Department of the hospital laboratory.
