The Bureau of Geology and Mining says that an earthquake has occurred in the Hambantota sea area this morning (24). They said that this earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale occurred in the sea area 25.8 km off the coast of Hambantota.
However, the Bureau of Geology and Mining states that there is no risk of tsunami due to this earthquake.
