National Zoo Director General Ranjan Marasinghe says that one of the two giraffes in Dehiwala Zoo died yesterday due to an allergy.
He said that the front hoof of this animal had an infection and the antibiotics given to it may have caused an allergy. However
He said the actual cause of death cannot be confirmed until the post-mortem report is received.
