According to police, Jean Francois Pactet, who was the ambassador of France to Sri Lanka and Maldives, has died in his official residence in Rajagiriya area.
The police say that the on-site magisterial inquiry will be conducted regarding the body.
Jean-François Pactet has been the French Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives since October 2022. He was 53 years old when he died.
