Between Ambanpola and Galgamuwa, 4 elephants have died after being hit by the train
Railway Traffic Superintendent M.J. Indipolage said. The mail train which was running from Colombo Fort to Kankasanture met with this accident last night.
He said that the accident caused a mechanical fault in the locomotive and it has now been repaired.
